"Once Upon a Time Was, I Verônica" (Marcelo Gomes)

Guadalajara (Mexico, March 1-9, 2013). The jury wishes to special honor one of the most imaginative, original and influential Latin American filmmakers, Chilean director Raúl Ruiz (1941-2011), at the occasaion of the presentation of his last film Night Across the Street (La noche de enfrente) at the festival of Guadalajara. The Critics Prize has been decided for Once Upon a Time Was I, Verônica" (Era uma vez eu, Verônica) by Marcelo Gomes (Brazil, France, 2012, 92 min).
